All Star Boxing Telemundo

All Star Boxing opened up its 2018 Telemundo Boxeo Series this past weekend at the Osceola Heritage Park venue with a thundering supply of its up and coming fighters.

The crowd was huge and the action was intense.

The main event featured two fighters in the WBO Regional title fight, Jonathan Gonzalez of Puerto Rico faced off against Richard Rodriguez of Mexico. The bout lasted all 10 rounds and the action was fierce, with Rodriguez slipping in one round, which would cause him to lose the fight in a split decision loss.  The fighters looked to be equal and the crowd erupted as the Puerto Rican’s arm was raised in the main televised event.

Other action included four Top Rank signed fighters with Olympians Antonio Vargas defeating a game Luis Fernando Saavedra and Puerto Rican Olympian Jeyvier Cintron easily making work of Edson Noria.   Cintron has not fought  since Hurricane Maria devastated his homeland and his professional career has been stagnant. He focused on getting his family life in order and did not look to be out of step in his first match back.

Most of the fights went the entire distance and overall this years All Star promotions look to be well balanced. Kissimmee is the home of the best boxing in Central Florida and this show was no exception.  Be sure to follow All Star Boxing Promotions to keep up with their hectic schedule and future news.
