World Champion boxer Floyd Mayweather is reportedly close to becoming a NASCAR Cup Series team owner with his The Money Team Racing, 

After more than a year of rumors spreading about the legendary boxer’s new venture in the NASCAR industry, it seems that the plans are finally taking a concrete shape.

While at first, the team’s official website provided details about the team, the information is replaced by the words “COMING SOON” for now.

However, Sport Business Journal’s Adam Stern, reported that TMT Racing is in discussions with Spire Motorsport to form a new partnership.

Rapper 50Cent previously tried the NASCAR thing, as did Snoop Dog, however those ventures stalled out.

Earlier this year, NBA legend Michael Jordan announced plans to start a team with Bubba Wallace taking control of the wheel.

Mayweather was rumored to have wanted to invest in an NBA basketball team in years past….lets see if this happens.

By the way, I have shot the last 16 Daytona 500 races as well as Floyd himself in the ring, and will shoot him getting inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame this spring…hopefully he remembers and lets me capture his team in the pits in February.
