This past Saturday, Christy Martin Promotions and Payne Boxing presented Battle at the Beach 3, in Daytona Beach. The event featured 12 excellent bouts and featured two fights for Championship belts.

Every fighter made weight and the matches were pretty evenly matched, with competitors fighting from many different states and a few countries. This was the first event for them at the Ocean Center which is a few hundred yards from the sugary sand of Daytona Beach, and a few miles from the famous Daytona International Speedway. NASCAR had a race going on after a thunderstorm passed through the area, but the real fireworks happened inside the ring.

Social distancing measures were in place and the crowd was limited, but there were still plenty of people to cheer on the fighters as they gave it their all in the squared circle.

Boxing itself is a hard game by itself and promoting during a pandemic would seem crazy to most, but somehow these promoters pulled it off and overall is was a very well run show. The fights were good, the fans were pumped and the venue made the atmosphere very fight like.
