As the NFL season comes to an end in the middle of February, The XFL's Orlando Guardians will play their first home game on February 26 at Camping World Stadium against the San Antonio Brahmas, with a season opener scheduled for February 18 in Houston.
Terrell Buckley, the former Florida State standout cornerback and 14-year NFL veteran, is the Orlando Guardians' head coach after spending 15 years (2007-21) as a college assistant coach. The team consist of several players from both Florida State as well as HBCU Florida A&M in Tallahassee, FL. Also adding to Head Coach Buckley Coaching Staff is Defensive Coordinator, Tony Carter who was an outstanding Defensive Back for the Seminoles as well as sending several years in the NFL.
Below is a look at each player from the 850 area code who will be suiting up for the Guardians this season from our own Chief of Photography, Don Juan Moore who has covered the Seminoles and Rattlers for 20 years.
The league consists of eight teams with seasons running from February to April each year, with a ten-game regular season for each team, ahead of a playoff, and the naming of a seasonal champion. Games will be broadcast by ESPN.
